NEW RELEASE! Eduardo is Just a Baby/ Eduardo solo es un bebe

The much awaited third instillation to the Sofia Series is finally out! "Eduardo is just a baby" Recently, I posted this on Facebook:

My journey into writing my very first book in 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝕊𝕆𝔽𝕀𝔸 𝕊𝔼ℝ𝕀𝔼𝕊: "3,585 MILES TO BE AN AMERICAN GIRL" was such a growth and full of learning experience. I leaned on some great folks to learn what they already knew and they shared. That's why via 1010 Publishing Company I strive to support other novice (and sometimes not so new) authors.

"3,585 MILES TO BE AN AMERICAN GIRL"- The first book focuses on the time Sofia emigrates to the USA and shares her experiences of curiosity and sometimes even worries for her family.

"SOFIA & VIVI BIG SISTER"- the second book in the series highlights the important relationship Sofia has with her little sister Vivi. It also supports additional language arts standards such as compare and contrast.

"EDUARDO IS JUST A BABY"- is the third and final book in the series. Eduardito (the endearing name for him) is the only son in the family and the youngest. The story reflects the relationship between Sofia and her little brother, who is really not a baby. Therefore this story also shares some cultural nuances deeply rooted in the Latino community with male children. This has changed some throughout the ages, but for the most part it is part of the story.

All of the books support various national language arts and social studies academic standards. All of them are bilingual, English and Spanish.

They can be found in on www.1010Publishing.com, your nearest bookstore, Target, Walmart, Books-A-Million, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and you can even ask your local library to borrow it.

When I wrote Eduardo Is Just a Baby, I wasn’t just creating a story; I was crafting a piece of myself to share with children and families. As a bilingual author originally from Peru, I understand firsthand the power of representation in stories. Growing up, I rarely saw books that reflected my culture, language, or experiences. That absence made me determined to write books where children could see themselves, their families, and their traditions celebrated on every page.

Bilingual books like Eduardo Is Just a Baby are so much more than just tools for language learning. They’re bridges—connecting cultures, generations, and perspectives. For children who are navigating two languages and two worlds, these books affirm their identities and remind them that both parts of who they are matter. For other children, bilingual books open doors to new languages and ways of seeing the world, planting seeds of empathy and understanding.

What makes these books even more powerful is when they’re written by authors who are part of the communities they represent. As someone who has lived the experiences I write about, I bring an authenticity that resonates with readers. My hope is that when children read about Eduardo, they laugh, feel seen, and feel inspired to embrace their own stories.

Stories shape how we see ourselves and the world. Through my books, I want every child to know that their voice matters, their culture matters, and their story matters.
