Almost all of us are immigrants or descendants of immigrants...

On this week's blog I quote one of America's favorite presidents, John F. Kennedy from an article written in November 2015 by Erin Blakemore for Time Magazine. He said, "Every American who has ever lived, with the exception of ONE group, was either an immigrant himself or a descendant of immigrants." I do believe this is something we should all keep in mind. Our nation is a nation of immigrants. Together we are what makes America the most beautiful country in the world. We have to believe that so that we can move forward as one nation. Together we can all contribute to the culture of unity, compassion and perseverance of this great nation.

Check out the blog where I touch on why the title of your book is pretty important and hear all about the fun and amazing time I had visiting schools last week! Shout out to Meadowcreek ES, Rose Academy and Roberts ES. A special shout out to Rickards High, my high school alma mater. Last but not least thank you to the public library system in Tallahassee for sharing their space and giving me the opportunity to share my story and book!
